Inspired by a love for her island Miss Gladys was Chef’s caretaker teaching him⁣
to love the foods of her land. As a young boy he’d spend hours listening to⁣
stories and sampling authentic Hawaiian dishes. This was one of Brandon’s⁣
favorite memories as a child. In honor of Mrs. Gladys, who has since passed,⁣
Brandon and Elizabeth (wife) co-hosted a pop-up fundraiser at their Emerald⁣
Isle restaurant Shepard Barbecue in April of this year to help the people of the⁣
beloved Hawaiian Islands who were devastated by wild fires raising over $10k in just 4 hours. Paying homage to the culture by preparing food to feed souls and bring awareness to an island in need. Join them to continue honoring Mrs. Gladys and eat amazing food!⁣
